Cambium Networks cnPilot e500 and e700: Smaller, Better, Bolder, Faster

Here at WLANmall, we’re really excited about Cambium Networks newest WLAN access point, the cnPilot e500 and e700. These smart access points come with an IP67 rating and electrical heater for cold start so they can guarantee continual performance in sub-optimal outdoor environments that may expose it to dust, water or colder climates. They are perfect for deploying WiFi applications across enterprise, hospitality, educational campuses and hosting public Wi-Fi services in sub-optimal environments including deserts, marina or cold mountains.

Using the latest 802.11ac wave 2 technology and standards-based beamforming technology, the cnPilot e700 can deliver superior spectrum use in high-interference environments while delivering to up to 512 concurrent client associations with the e700.

With either product, you can rapidly set up multi-hop mesh networks, either dedicating one for mesh backhaul or using both bands for simultaneous client and mesh networks. The aux PoE Out port eliminates the need for a second power line and can power a PoE camera when security monitoring is needed near the hotspot.

Cambium Networks continues to “get it right” with convenient features and their cnMaestro controller. The e700 can even store two versions of the software and if needed fall back to a working operational software, reducing the likelihood of site visits and increasing network up-time.
